Have you ever wondered how cosplayers make themselves look a lot younger than they actually do?!
I'm not a cosplayer but I do wear lenses everyday for work and it helped me a lot!
I always opt for those with bigger diameter as this can affect the entire look.
Like what I have here. I got this pair of lens from LENSVILLAGE a month ago and since the day I used it, I made sure to throw out my old one. Coz I know deep inside my heart that this would definitely be my everyday lens! *lol too much drama*
So as I was saying, bigger diameter makes an illusion of larger eyes. Notice how "PUSS IN BOOTS" looked when he did the teary eyed scene! Okay now I think you understand.
That explains a lot of things now! However, it would look odd if you wear it without any makeup. So make sure you apply a little bit of eyeliner on top of your lashes.
White eyeliner also helps a lot when creating your "big eye" effect only if you know where and how to apply it! *wink* So make sure to watch makeup tutorials on youtube too!
If it's your first time, I wouldn't recommend wearing huge ones. But do it gradually. Maybe you can start wearing colored ones with 14 diameter (the closest size for natural eyes) then after awhile you can start wearing huge lenses too! Yup! It looks a bit strange at first, but after awhile you'll get used to it!
I am aware that lenses are needed to be removed after 4 hours. But I'm way too hard headed and lazy to remove it in the office. I actually wear it at least 10 hours per day! *yup, I'm crazy. no need to lecture me*
But these particular lens are very comfy even with that span of time. I felt discomfort from wearing it for 12 hours. But I've been wearing it for 10 hours without discomfort is a total bonus! But please avoid wearing lenses for more than 4 hours okay? ^-^
I WANNA KNOW:
Which do you prefer? Glasses or lenses?
