If you're following me on instagram, you might notice that I've been redecorating my room little by little. Since I don't really have the budget for it, I got the idea to make them from what I already have at home. I also think this would be a great idea for those who loves to do DIY and all the crafty work. This project is pretty simple and very easy to make.
You will only need 4 items to make this candle holder. First would be a mug. Any mug will do, it can be a clear one like this, or a colored one. Depends on you. Also, it doesn't need to be a mug, you may use a glass of a little vase. You also be needing a ribbon measuring 3 times the mouth of the mug, again any color will do. I originally have these white pebbles from my brush holder and grabbed some of it for this project. If you can't find one, you may use beads or rice as an alternative. Lastly, the little candle. You can buy them in sets of 8. Very affordable and widely available. The one I have doesn't have fragrance so that's a downer. But you can actually put scented oils on the pebbles, lit up the candle and wait for the oil to react with the heat.
Make sure the ribbon is secured you can add some glue, but mine's okay. The handle's serves as a stopper. I didn't apply any glue as it may ruin the glass. Also, I'm planning to change it to a red one this coming February in preparation for Valentine's day so adding a glue won't be necessary. This little mug makes a pretty deco for your room or anywhere in your home. Oh, you may also use this little thing as a brush holder. That's it for today! Enjoy!
