VELVET NAILS TUTORIAL

Wondering how those beautiful velvet nails that are spreading on the internet especially on tumblr and other social networking sites are made?! It does look weird at first because it is all matte. But if you look closely, it looks like a mini fluffy carpet on the nails. If that makes sense. lol.

I got my velvet nails jar set from ROMWE a week ago and I was really curious how it will turn out on my own nails. So here's my very first attempt. I manage to capture each step and made it a mini tutorial for you.

1. Prepare the materials needed.
  • velvet nails
  • base coat
  • nail polish color that is very similar to the velvet nails shade
  • nail pusher or orange stick
2. Make sure your nails are all clean. no lotion, oil, whatsoever
3. Apply your base coat then apply one to two coats of your favorite nail polish.
4. Dip your wet nails on the jar until the whole surface are covered with velvet. I repeat, make sure the polish is still wet. This will allow the velvet to stick on your nails.
5. If there are still areas that doesn't have any velvet on it, use the orange stick or pusher to apply it on the small areas. Then press it gently. allowing the velvet to stick on more.

Sorry if I keep on saying velvet. I don't know how to call it. hehe.  I really hope you like it! ( ´ ▽ ` )οΎ‰
