nail_foil_tutorial_silver_nailart_nails_howtoHello~! Today I'll be showing you my very first attempt on nail foils. I know most of you haven't tried it yet. Mainly because you don't know where to get one or you really do not have any idea how to use it. Right? I got mine from KKCENTERHK a week ago and this was the only time I manage to use it. I researched through the net on how to use it but it didn't really helped me a lot. I did some trial and error to be able to get this result. I will be also giving you some tips that may help you achieve the perfect nail foil coverage for your nails.

Let's start!
  1. First thing you wanna do is to prepare all the items you need before you start designing your nails. This will save you time and will help you avoid ruining your own nails when trying to reach something in your cabinet or bags.
    • scissors
    • nail foil
    • foil glue usually comes with the nail foil when you order it
    • orange stick or nail pusher
  2. Cut the nail foil into small pieces. make sure it can cover your whole nail when you apply it
  3. Apply a thin coat of glue on to the surface of your nails. Applying base coat is not recommended. It will only make the surface of your nails too shiny, that the glue and foil won't last long.
  4. Wait for 30 seconds until the glue turns to transparent. As if you applied a top coat. This step is very important. Make sure the glue is very tacky and not too watery. If you apply the nail foil on a wet glue, it won't dry and the foil will not stick to it.
  5. Stick a piece of foil on top of your nail and press it evenly using an orange stick or pusher. Then carefully remove the film, leaving the foil on the nails.
  6. Last step is to apply a top coat. But this is optional, as some nail polish will melt the foil and will ruin the design. I suggest you use water base top coat just to be safe.
Nail foils can last up to 1 week if your very careful with it. I hope you like this really quick tutorial. I will try to make more of these if you want me to. just let me know in the comment box!
