CarmenClaire At First Blush in Head Over Heels Review

Hello pretty ladies! :) I've been busy with my business and other family stuff (plus boyfie too. LOL) We celebrated our 3rd year anniversary yesterday January 12, 2012. Yey! :) So many things had happened but we're still holding on to each other. *aaayiiiii* We celebrated our anniversary with my mom's school field trip. We though that it would be fun and enjoyable. We went to Gardenia, Gourmet Farm and stayed at Enchanted Kingdom in Tagaytay. We tried every ride they have and the best part would be the Tower EKstreme were in you'll be pulled and suspended for about 150feet from the ground and fall straight down for 3 seconds. Haha. I felt like my soul left me for awhile. I'll our post a photo to the bottom part of this post :)

Anyway, I really wanted to share to you this blush that I have been wearing almost everyday. I received it last December and since then I never touched my other blushers. Here's a photo of me with CarmenClaire's At First Blush on Head over heels on my cheeks. *woot. The name is too long hehe* Say hello to my oily face. Haha. :)) As you can see, I have super oily face so I really stick with powder blushers *cos I think they will stay longer*.

If you want to know more about the brand please read my previous post here

By the way, I' wearing my new EyeCandyLens in Bambi Princess Mimi Sesame Grey which I will also be reviewing soon. ^^

PACKAGING ~
Let's start on how the package looks like when I received it from the mail. So it was placed in a brown envelope with CarmenClaire sticker which I think their theme goes well with my blog's layout. hehe. It was nicely packed with gift wrap tissues and some plastics. I would suggest to use some bubble wrap for double security especially if we're talking about makeup palette or the like.

PRICE: P325.00
I got mine in Head Over heels which is a matte peach tone. I personally think that it's a very natural color. Not too bright on the cheeks and I can definitely wear it for my everyday makeup. The swatches on their site is quite accurate on the actual product. Oh, and I also got an HQ Minidose which I still haven't used yet so I can't say anything about it.
WHAT I LOVE ~
  • It is very light and wearable.
  • It's matte, so it looks really natural without the shimmers.
  • I really like the packaging of the product where you can see the shades clearly without opening it.
  • Very smooth and pigmented.
  • Doesn't have a scent which is a big deal for me when it comes to any kind of make up.
The flash washed off the color. Sorry about that. I'll try to get a decent photo soon. EDIT: Here's a clearer swatch of the shades.

WHAT I HATE:
  • Stayed only for 2-3 hours on my oily face.
  • Best for fair skin, not very noticeable/appealing for morena skin.

RATING~
  • 4 out of 5

OVERALL ~
  • It's a very decent blush, but I think it would be best if it stayed longer than 3 hours so I won't reapply it all over again. I would recommend this blush to anyone who have fair skin, coz I think this color matches them perfectly.
