Nail Polish Experiment #2

This is going to be my second nail polish experiment as you can obviously see on the title.
The first is when I tried applying top coat on my matte polish
which gave me a slightly cracked result that ruined my design:

It's really exciting when something that you didn't expect to happen just show up.
And of course I wanted to share it with my readers as well. :)

I want to apologize for not visiting other blogs in the past week,
I'm too busy with my business and I'm really trying to make posts whenever I get free time.
I do love reading your blogs too and I will be doing that again really soon!

Anyway, I have this water-base polish which I've raved about from my last posts,
and I wanted to make a quick experiment if it really works.

I made another Youtube video during the experiment to show it to you clearly.

I was quite impressed on the results and I didn't expect it to be that scary
when the actual polishes that I'm using is trying to kill my nails.
I mean stain them really bad. LOL

Don't get me wrong, I love those brands (The Face Shop & Sansan).
I have lots of them in my collection.
I used it as my samples to check how my favorite brand works on my nails.
But I'll definitely use my water-based coat to protect my nails before using other brands again.

Some regular polishes contains acetone that can stain and make your nails brittle in time if not cared properly. I made this video just to show how you can check your polishes if it contains acetone.

If you want to read my complete review on this water-based polish,
and why other brands do this to the styrofoams. You can read it here:

NOTE TO EVERYONE:
No need to be that scared,
you just really need to use a good base coat to prevent your nails get brittle or stains :)
This video is not intended to scare you in anyway.
I just want you all to know that nails should also be cared
and not just there to play with nail art and polishes. :)

Let me know what you have in mind.

  2. uh... nails are made out of proteins and keratin (really tough compound where horns and claws of animals are also made of)
styrofoam are made of polystyrene(plastic), not really a strong material compared to keratin so...
I don't see the analogy here...

Nail polishes make the nails turn yellow because of its staining effect or it contains formaldehyde (this is one that should definitely avoided since this one makes the nails brittle). Acetone also makes the nails brittle, but to a lesser extent.
