Review: Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser

I have acne-prone skin, and I use tons of products hoping that it would eventually clear up. Now, I use this cleanser and I rarely break out anymore. This was suggested by my dermatologist. Cetaphil's Gentle Cleanser didn't work for me so I opted for this one. I totally love this product! Wanna know why?

Product info:
  • Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser provides effective cleansing for oily skin, combination or acne-prone skin. Its gentle foaming action removes surface oils, dirt and make-up without leaving your skin dry.
  • 125ml only
  • PRICE: P538.00 approx $11.95
  • It did came with a free make-up bag when I purchased it. *Not sure if the promo is still on going.*
What I Lve:
  • left my face feeling refreshed
  • didn't break me out
  • I like the smell (not too strong)
  • more gel like and not as runny and watery as the gentle skin cleanser
  • clear/colorless
  • cleans the oil and dirt and some makeup without leaving my skin dry out
What I Hate:
  • Available in one size only.
  • This is a bit stronger than the Gentle Face Wash which is not a biggie for me.
  • I find it a little bit expensive from their regular ones.
ha! I used it to store my polishes and manicure set. :)
 Rating: 5 out of 5
Will I repurchase?
  • This is my 3rd bottle and I'm sure to repurchase this again! :D

Have you tried any Cetaphil products yet? Did it work for you? :)
Hugs and kisses,

  1. Glad it works for you. I like the one for sensitive skin but I've been itching to try this one. I just find the version for oily skin expensive. :P

  12. I've used the Gentle Skin cleanser on my son for years because he has sensitive skin. I only tried the Gentle skin cleanser a couple of times, but I felt that it was too mild. I'll give this variant a try, I didn't even know they have this. Thanks for sharing.

  42. Cethaphil Gentle skin cleaser looks like a semen and do not work for me. It feels s if the dirtin my face isn't being cleansed.
But with the Oily Skin cleanser, it works. Plus, it its not kind of irritating looking like a semen.

  45. I love this product! I use Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser in the morning and the Gentle Skin Cleanser at night. It is pretty expensive but it does help keep me from breaking out. I also have oily skin and I used to suffer from acne, thus I have maintenance face meds from my dermatologist. She recently recommended that I try out Papulex Moussant Soap-free Cleansing Gel, along with Papulex Oil-free Cream, both designed for acne-prone skin. After I finish up my Cetaphil bottle I might try the cleanser. I'm already using the oil-free cream. :)
